Kathy Rainer

Honorary Chairman of the 2022 Christmas Home Tour

Dear Peachtree Garden Club Members and Friends,

I am honored to help celebrate our remarkable friend, Kathy Rainer, who has been chosen by Peachtree Garden Club to serve as the Honorary Chair of the 2022 Christmas Home Tour. Kathy’s love for fabulous soirees and beautiful flowers led to the creation of her legendary event planning business with her partner, Tricky Wolfes, called “Parties To Die For.” Their motto is “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing!” This motto symbolizes Kathy’s approach to all things and for this generous attitude, she has gained respect and love from everyone she meets!

Kathy has been a much loved participant in PGC for 23 years. She has served as Vice President, Visiting Gardens Chairman, and Horticulture Chairman and has planned several memorable trips for the Club. However, her most outstanding contributions have been associated with the Christmas Home Tour. Her home was featured in the first revival of the Christmas Home Tour and showcased the wow factor that only Kathy can create. She has served as the lead designer for a home on the tour every year since to the delight and amazement of all the tour participants!

Kathy’s other notable achievements include First Place in Mass Arrangement from the Newport Flower Show, First Place and Trophy at the Palm Beach Flower Show, as well as the overall décor award for the Atlanta Flower Show. Kathy has been a keynote speaker at several events including the Newport Flower Show, Art in Bloom at the Ringling Museum, and the Virginia Flower Week. Finally, “Parties To Die For” has contributed over $250,000 via in kind services to the State Botanical Garden, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and various other Atlanta charities.

Peachtree Garden Club is proud that 100% of the proceeds from our Christmas Home Tour go to our Community Fund. Our Community Fund allows us to offer grants that serve as financial support for education, programs and solutions. In the spirit of Kathy’s enthusiasm and generosity, I ask that each of you use this opportunity to support this important cause. When making your pledge, please remember…”if it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing!”

Warm regards,

Debbie Hudson
